With over 25 years of experience helping people transform their skin, I’ve seen firsthand how important it is to adapt your skincare routine to different life stages. As our skin ages, so do its needs, and today, I want to share how you can support your skin from the inside out at each stage of life.

Did you know that after the age of 24, our collagen production starts to decline? This impacts skin firmness, elasticity, and moisture levels. Here are some key tips to maintain your skin’s glow through the years:

In Your 30s 💫

Your skin’s collagen production has already started to decline, so it’s essential to begin incorporating steps that boost and maintain skin firmness:

Add C and E-vitamins—both internally and topically—to boost collagen and protect against oxidative stress.

Include foods rich in omega-3 (like chia seeds, hemp, and fish oil) to maintain elasticity.

Eat colorful vegetables like carrots and bell peppers, which are rich in beta-carotene and support collagen.

Use products with hyaluronic acid to retain moisture.

In Your 40s 💫

The skin begins to thin, and hyaluronic acid levels decline further, so hydration is key:

Add biotin, Q10, MSM (organic sulfur), and collagen to support skin elasticity.

Use serums with niacinamide and peptides to strengthen the skin barrier and boost ceramide production.

Hydrate with sheet masks containing hyaluronic acid for extra moisture.

Use creams with ceramides and fatty acids to lock in moisture.

In Your 50s and Beyond 💫

The skin may become even drier at this stage, and deep wrinkles or pigmentation can start appearing. Focus on deeply nourishing the skin:

Include astaxanthin or quercetin supplements for antioxidant protection.

Increase omega-3, GLA (from evening primrose oil), and olive oil intake to maintain hydration.

Opt for thicker moisturizers with ingredients like shea butter or argan oil.

Switch to gentle, anti-aging skincare tailored to sensitive skin.

NOTE! If you have any medical conditions or are taking medication, always consult a doctor before making dietary changes.

Regardless of age, giving your skin what it needs—through nutrition, supplements, and the right skincare—can help keep it glowing, youthful, and healthy. Start small, be consistent, and don’t forget to treat yourself with care.
