Hi, lovely you!

Right now, I’m on the beautiful island of Samos, where I’m combining work with stunning nature and inspiring surroundings. I often travel when I need to focus more intensely and find new inspiration, and here in Samos, I’m really getting the energy I need. A change of scenery helps me think clearly, come up with new ideas, and enjoy nature. I’m working intensively here to build and set up everything for my business.

Many of us carry toxins in our bodies, which result from being exposed to various harmful substances from our surroundings. Toxins affect the skin in many ways—they can cause dryness, cracks, eczema, and even inflammation like acne.

Our skin is our largest organ, and when the body is overloaded with toxins, they often show up on the skin first. That’s why taking care of our internal and external health is essential, as well as minimizing exposure to harmful substances.

10 signs that you may have too many toxins in your body:

1. Dry and cracked skin, along with eczema

2. Acne and other skin inflammations

3. Pigmentation on the skin

4. Fatigue, concentration problems, and forgetfulness

5. Increased irritability

6. Excessive sweating (a sign that the liver is struggling)

7. Digestive problems such as gas, stomach pain, and bloating

8. Headaches, neck and shoulder pain, and sore joints

9. Hair loss and brittle nails

10. Hormonal imbalances such as irregular periods and thyroid issues

Toxins are everywhere – in the air we breathe, food, and products we use. We are exposed to exhaust fumes, plastic chemicals, and synthetic substances from skincare and cleaning products.

That’s why it’s so important to eliminate as many harmful substances as possible from our daily lives. Personally, I’ve been reducing plastic use for many years, swapping all my skincare products for organic alternatives and choosing cleaning products so natural I could eat them. Minimizing these toxins has made a difference for both my skin and overall health.

Did you know that women use an average of 10-12 hygiene products every day, which means they absorb over 2 kilograms of chemicals from these products each year? For men, the number is around 1 kilogram. It’s crazy when you think about it!

What can you do to reduce toxins in your daily life? Have you started swapping out any products or routines?

Love, Johanna
